What officers have to say about the course:

Great class! I took this class as a new officer in my first few years on the department. I have applied this class more in the field than any other I have attended. I've opened everything from cheap hotel door locks for parole searches, front doors for "check the welfare" calls, padlocked trunks with dope dealer "loot" inside and even the occasional office supply locker when the secretary isn't around to let me in.

Officer Matthew B. SDPD

This class has been very useful on patrol! in 4 months I have opened 5 doors without damaging them. Without this class I would have been given people the number to our claims center and filling out paperwork instead of going 10-8!

Officer Kevin S. SDPD

Female went to a nearby fire station with her 2mos old baby. She was badly beaten by her husband with obvious physical injuries. Husband left in her vehicle, unknown where he went. Victim only had the clothes on her and her baby, no formula, diapers, etc- everything was left back at her apt. Victim said it was possible the suspect could have returned. As the sole leaser of the apt, she gave us permission to enter. Upon successful lockpick entry of a rear kitchen door, we entered the home. As we were clearing the apt, the bedroom door was locked. Yet another successful lockpick of the bedroom door was made and the apprehension of the suspect.

Officer. Jen M. PPD
